Shabby Chic is our ongoing refurbishing program that takes place in the warehouse at our downtown ReStore located at 1208 S 3rd St. It is very flexible and self-directed and gives you the chance to get creative with a piece of your own choosing from the showroom at any of our ReStores! It is a great way to learn or build on a skill while either refurbishing a piece to purchase for yourself or giving it back to the ReStore with more value!

When is the warehouse open to volunteer?
The shifts are typically 10am-1pm and 1pm-5pm Monday through Saturday, though you are welcome to come in at a time that best fits your schedule – We just ask that you communicate with us if those times differ!
Is experience required to volunteer at Shabby Chic?
No experience is required, as we welcome all skill levels! It is self-directed, so you are able to work alone or collaborate with another volunteer on a piece.
How do you get started and bring your piece to the warehouse?
Once you choose a piece from the salesfloor, let the cashier or another staff member know! They will give you a label for the piece, and it will be brought down to the warehouse for you.
What happens to the finished pieces?
Once your piece is finished, it will be returned to the ReStore salesfloor at a higher value!
Do volunteers need to bring their own materials, or are there materials available?
We have just about all the materials you may need, though you are always welcome to bring your own if you prefer or let us know if we can provide any new materials.
