Volunteer Positions
Cashier/Customer Service Representative
Be the face of Cape Fear Habitat! Greet customers, answer phones, ring up sales, answer customer questions and create a positive shopping experience for the ReStore.
Showroom Floor Clerks:
Help keep the sales floor neat and organized, assist with stocking and merchandising donated items and help customers with purchases.
Warehouse Assistant/Stocker
Receive, process, price and stock donated items. Act as Cape Fear Habitat’s ambassadors to the donating community!
Pricer
Sort donated items and place in appropriate staging areas, help staff in pricing household and decorative items using “Pricing Guide.” Help organize and clean showroom by stocking shelves and making sure merchandise is organized and clean and aisles are clear and safe.
Showroom Organizer
Assist in cleaning/organizing merchandise, as well as arranging items on display shelves and in front of showroom. Create decorative displays, hang pictures, arrange furniture, arrange special promotion displays and organize volunteers for special projects.
Box Truck Driver
Must be 18yrs of age, have a valid N.C. driver’s license and a clean driving record. Experience in driving a box truck through residential neighborhoods also preferred. Ability to do heavy lifting and assist customers and staff with loading and unloading of merchandise.
Through the generous contribution of your time, energy and talents, you help keep our overhead low so that we can contribute more towards building Habitat for Humanity homes in our communities. You also help keep tons of usable materials out of the landfills.
We have many volunteer opportunities available at our store, and you can choose either scheduled or flexible volunteer activities.
