Cape Fear Habitat’s Unity Build is all about uniting people from different faiths and backgrounds to work together for a powerful cause—building affordable homes for local families in need.
Through this interfaith build program, we’re joining forces to fund and construct two homes, creating real change in our community. Join us as we take on the affordable housing crisis through a lens of faith, providing a hand up, not a hand-out, to our future homeowners.
We invite you to join us for an information meeting about the 2025 Unity Build! Learn about how your congregation can engage in meaningful service; the homeowners you’ll be serving; and our fundraising goals. This event will take place at the Cape Fear Habitat office (3310 Fredrickson Road, Wilmington), on Wednesday, May 28th from 4:00-5:00PM.
Deepen your own faith while empowering others through the gift of shelter.
Engage and attract new members to your faith community by working together on a meaningful mission.
Inspire excitement within your community to serve locally and globally.
Tailor projects to fit your group—whether it’s students, singles, small groups, or your entire congregation.
Make a direct impact by helping build homes in your own neighborhood.
How to Partner
Want to be part of this life-changing project? Faith communities can partner by donating and volunteering to make affordable housing a reality. To reach our goal, we need 250 volunteers and $150,000 in donations.
Carmen has lived in Wilmington for over 7 years with her three children. She will be moving into Haven Place, and her entire home will be built by Unity Build volunteers.
Imani became a first-time mother in 2025 and works as an outpatient aide. Her home will be located Downtown, and the interior finishes–such as paint, hardware, and trim–will be part of Unity Build.
